Welcome to the Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce (“CJACC,” “the Chamber,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, submitting a membership application, participating in Chamber events, or using any of our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. Membership

1.1 Eligibility

Membership is open to businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who support the mission of the Chamber and operate in good standing within the community.

1.2 Membership Terms

Membership begins once payment is received and continues for 12 months unless otherwise specified. Members are responsible for renewing on time to maintain active status.

1.3 Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

Provide accurate and up-to-date business information

Conduct business ethically and professionally

Follow Chamber guidelines when participating in events, committees, or the membership directory

The Chamber reserves the right to update or request additional information to maintain accurate member records.

1.4 Membership Revocation

The Chamber may suspend or revoke membership for:

Nonpayment

Repeated violations of Chamber policies

Conduct that harms the reputation or integrity of the Chamber or its members

Members will be notified in writing if action is taken.


2. Payments & Billing

2.1 Fees

Membership dues, sponsorship fees, and event registration fees are listed on our website or provided directly by the Chamber.

2.2 Refunds

Membership dues and sponsorship fees are nonrefundable. Event refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis depending on the event and timing of cancellation.

2.3 Automatic Renewals

If you enroll in auto-renewal, you authorize the Chamber to charge your payment method on file at the time of renewal. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time by contacting the Chamber office.


3. Directory Listings

3.1 Member Listings

Active members may be featured in the Chamber’s online business directory. The Chamber is not responsible for the accuracy of listing information provided by members.

3.2 Content Guidelines

Members must ensure their directory listing:

Is truthful and accurate

Does not infringe on any trademarks or copyrights

Does not contain offensive, harmful, or misleading content

The Chamber reserves the right to edit or remove listings that do not meet standards.

3.3 Third-Party Links

Directory listings may contain links to member websites. The Chamber does not endorse or assume responsibility for content found on external sites.


4. Events & Programs

4.1 Event Registration

Registration may be required for certain events. Space may be limited and is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

4.2 Photography & Media

By attending Chamber events, you acknowledge that photographs or video may be taken and used for marketing or promotional purposes.

4.3 Conduct at Events

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. The Chamber reserves the right to remove individuals who violate event rules or disrupt the experience for others.


5. Website Use & Privacy

5.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post harmful, illegal, or disruptive content

Attempt to access restricted areas of the website

Use the website for unauthorized solicitation or spam

5.2 Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, graphics, images, logos, and structure—is the property of the Chamber or used with permission. You may not copy or distribute content without prior written consent.

5.3 User-Submitted Content

Any content submitted through forms (including directory submissions, event postings, or contact forms) must be accurate, lawful, and free of harmful code.

5.4 Privacy

The Chamber collects and stores information submitted by members and visitors. We do not sell personal information. Data is used for membership management, communication, and service delivery. See our Privacy Policy for full details.


6. Limitations of Liability

The Chamber is not responsible for:

Losses caused by inaccurate member listings

Decisions made based on website or directory information

Downtime, interruptions, or technical issues on the website

Damages arising from participation in Chamber events

All Chamber services are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind.


7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our website or services indicates acceptance of these changes.
